Three Products to Jumpstart your Fitness Goals

The Brand

I’ve always heard the name Arbonne floating around the beauty industry, but I never really knew much about the brand. I recently connected with Stacy Farber, an Arbonne rep, who gave me an opportunity to try some of their most popular products. Arbonne has been around for almost 30 years. Their products are Swiss-formulated and they consider themselves a health and wellness company. They are a multi-level marketing brand which is honestly one of the reasons I never even gave them a chance. This type of business is becoming very popular and I think we can all agree that a day doesn’t go by where we aren’t asked to try the next big multi-level marketing product like Tyra Beauty, It Works, Rodan + Fields, LuLaRoe, Mary Kay, Lipsense, etc. The list could go on and on. Here are the factors that caught my eye about this brand:

  • Paraben Free
  • Vegan Certified
  • Cruelty Free
  • Gluten Free
  • Non-GMO Ingredients
  • No Artificial Fragrances
  • PH Correct Products

This week I tried products from their Essentials line. This line focuses on using botanical compounds and phytonutrients to help support health. Phytonutrients are nutrients found in fruits and vegetables that are scientifically proven to provide health benefits. They allow for optimal cell function and communication which results in a stronger immune system, healthier tissues and organ systems, and detoxification. The health benefits of phytonutrients occur best when sourced from fresh fruits and vegetables. The FDA currently does not regulate phytonutrients as supplements. So make sure these products are not replacing fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. They are, just as they are appropriately named, supplements to be added in addition to a well-balanced diet. Take a look at the three products I tried below and check back next week to see my review of some of their skincare and beauty products.

Detox Tea

This was my absolute favorite Essentials product I tried. I always wanted to get into drinking tea but I never really found one that I loved, until now. It comes in a pack of 20 for $16, averaging out to $0.80 per serving. This tea is rich with a light minty taste. It is caffeine-free so it’s the perfect nighttime beverage to help you relax. It’s packed with great ingredients like milk thistle, peppermint, dandelion, licorice and sweet fennel. This unique blend of ingredients helps support the liver and kidneys. It also helps hydrate and detoxify. The peppermint even helps aid in digestion so it’s the perfect dessert after a nice meal.

Energy Drink Supplement

We all have our go-to drinks or products to help boost energy, so does Arbonne. This energy drink supplement comes in a pack of 30 for $52, averaging out to about $1.73 a drink. I have to say I wasn’t a big fan of this products effervescence. I’ve never liked carbonated beverages so it made it hard for me to drink. That being said, man did this product pack a punch. It had a great citrus taste and gave me the energy I needed to get through my workout. It is actually clinically proven to help boost your metabolism. It is free of artificial sweeteners and it has just 13 calories per serving. I loved the effects of this product because I’ve never been able to take pre-workouts before. They are just too strong for me and give me the jitters the rest of the day. This gave me just the right amount of energy without giving me heart palpitations, making me feel overheated, or jittery. Some of the key ingredients are green tea, B vitamins, chromium, ginseng and guarana.  These ingredients aid in improving endurance and alertness, boosting energy and balancing blood sugar. This is the perfect alternative to pop and coffee. It also makes a great pre-workout. I just wish it came in a juice-like formula as well.

Protein Shake

I’ve finally gotten back into the routine of working out at least five days a week. I was very excited to try this product because I like to follow my workouts with a protein drink to help build muscle. This powder is $74 for 30 servings, averaging out to about $2.47 per shake. It has 20 grams of vegan protein, 14 carbs, 160 calories and 20 essential vitamins and minerals.  It smelled like vanilla birthday cake, so my hopes were high, but it had a very chalky consistency that I just couldn’t get over. If you like a thicker shake, this is for you. I will be sticking with my current protein shake, Smart Smoothie, for now.
